This Privacy Policy covers all services operated by Reading To Connect™, including our website at readingtoconnect.com, our web application at app.readingtoconnect.com, our online courses, our private podcast community, and our Listening Rooms. Reading To Connect™ was formerly known as Aidyn’s Books and Aidyn’s Books for Authors. If you joined our community under either of those names, this policy applies to you.

By using any of our services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who We Are

Reading To Connect™ is an independent brand founded by Quinn Cummings, creator of The ENGAGE Method®. We help parents and caregivers build deeper connection with their children through shared reading.

2. What We Collect and How

A. When You Visit Our Website

We collect standard analytics data, such as pages visited, time on site, browser type, and general location, through Google Analytics. This data is grouped together and not tied to your personal identity.

If you accept marketing cookies, Meta (Facebook) Pixel may also collect data about how you use our site to help us measure ad performance. See Section 8 for how to opt out.

B. When You Fill Out a Form or Opt In

Our website and Listening Room opt-in pages use forms managed through MailerLite. When you submit a form, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address

We use this to send you the content you requested and, with your permission, ongoing emails about Reading To Connect.

To block spam, form submissions on our website may be checked by CleanTalk, which reviews the submission and your IP address.

C. When You Sign In with Google or Facebook (App)

When you sign in with Google or Facebook on our app, we receive:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your profile picture

We only request basic profile permissions. We do not access your contacts, messages, posts, or any other account data.

D. When You Use the ENGAGE App

Inside the app, we collect:

• Reading moments and notes you save
• Book preferences and reading session data
• Account settings and preferences
• Subscription and billing information (processed by Stripe)

E. When You Purchase a Course

Our courses are hosted on Tutor LMS through our website. When you purchase and enroll, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• The billing details our checkout asks for
• Your course progress, such as lessons completed and quiz answers

Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

F. When You Join Hiro (Private Podcast)

Our private podcast community is hosted on Hiro. When you sign up, Hiro collects the information required to create your account. Please review Hiro’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data.

G. When You Access a Listening Room

Listening Rooms are gated by email opt-in. When you register, we collect your name and email address through MailerLite and send you a private access link. No separate account or login is created.

H. When You Use the Contact Form

Our contact form collects your name, email address, and the message you submit. We use this only to respond to you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Confirm your identity and keep you signed in
• Deliver the content, courses, or community access you signed up for
• Send account and purchase emails, such as receipts and login details
• Send you emails you’ve opted into (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Process and manage your subscription or course purchase
• Improve our website and app
• Measure how well our advertising works through Meta Pixel and Google Analytics

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles for third parties. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

4. Affiliate Disclosures

Some links on our website and in our app are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Bookshop.org: We participate in the Bookshop.org affiliate program. Book links in our app and on our website may be affiliate links.

Amazon: We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Some links on our site may be Amazon affiliate links.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with the following providers to run our services:

These providers only get the data they need to do their job and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

6. Google Sign-In: Additional Disclosures

Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• We only request your name, email address, and profile picture.
• This data is used only for signing in and creating your account.
• We do not transfer your Google data to third parties except as needed to operate the app or as required by law.
• We do not use Google user data to serve ads or for any purpose unrelated to your use of this app.

7. Facebook Login: Additional Disclosures

When you log in with Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture through Facebook’s basic login permissions. This data is used only to create and maintain your account. We do not access your Facebook friends list, timeline, messages, or any extended permissions.

To remove our access to your Facebook data, visit facebook.com/settings/apps.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tools to:

• Keep you signed in
• Remember your preferences
• Measure website traffic through Google Analytics
• Track ad performance through Meta Pixel (only if you accept marketing cookies)

To change your cookie choices: Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page on our website.

To opt out of Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

To opt out of Meta Pixel tracking: Visit facebook.com/ads/preferences or use your browser’s privacy settings.

9. Email Communications

If you’ve opted into our email list, you’ll receive content from Reading To Connect™. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us at [email protected].

If you buy a course or have an app account, we will still send you emails about your account and purchases, even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails.

10. Children’s Privacy

Reading To Connect™ is designed for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

11. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account, course access, or subscription is active, or as long as needed to provide our services. If you unsubscribe from our email list, you are removed from future sends according to MailerLite’s standard practices.

We keep purchase and payment records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes, even after an account is deleted.

12. Your Rights: Access, Correction, and Deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.

13. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. Our app is hosted on Bubble.io’s secure infrastructure, and our website is hosted on SiteGround behind Cloudflare. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you have concerns, contact us right away.

14. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice.
