Reading To Connect™ · Effective Date: June 7, 2020 · Last Updated: October 8, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of all services operated by Reading To Connect™, including our website at readingtoconnect.com, our web application at app.readingtoconnect.com, our online courses, our private podcast community, and our Listening Rooms. By using any of our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Who We Are
Reading To Connect™ is an independent brand founded by Quinn Cummings, creator of The ENGAGE Method®. We help parents and caregivers build deeper connection with their children through shared reading.
Contact: [email protected] · readingtoconnect.com
2. Who Can Use Our Services
Our services are designed for parents and caregivers of children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase a course, or access any gated content. By using our services, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
We do not knowingly collect information from or direct services toward children under the age of 13.
3. Accounts and Access
Some of our services require you to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away at [email protected].
Courses are accessed through an account on readingtoconnect.com. This account is separate from your ENGAGE App account at app.readingtoconnect.com, and each has its own login.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. The ENGAGE App (Beta)
The ENGAGE App is currently in beta. This means features may change, and occasional downtime or bugs may occur. We appreciate your patience as we continue to improve the experience.
During beta, access may be free or offered at a founding member rate. Pricing and terms may change when the app moves out of beta, and we’ll notify you in advance before any changes take effect.
5. Courses and Digital Products
Our courses are delivered digitally through our website. When you purchase a course, you receive personal, non-transferable access to the course materials.
How long you keep access: You keep access to a course you purchased for as long as we offer that course. If we ever retire a course, we will email you at least 60 days before access ends so you have time to finish it.
You may not share your login, or share, resell, redistribute, or reproduce course content in any form, without written permission from Reading To Connect™.
30-Day “See the Connection” Guarantee
Use the course with your child for up to 30 days. If you are not seeing more connection during reading time, email us at [email protected] within 30 days of purchase. We will give you a full refund within 48 hours. No hoops to jump through.
When a refund is issued, your access to that course ends.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
App subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again, and you’ll keep access through the end of the period you’ve paid for.
We do not offer prorated refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, app, and courses, including The ENGAGE Method® framework, Connection Clues™, written materials, audio, and video, is owned by Reading To Connect™ and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The ENGAGE Method® is a registered trademark (U.S. Reg. No. 8,191,998). Reading To Connect™, Engaged Shared Reading™, Connection Clues™, and CareSafe Design™ are trademarks of Reading To Connect, LLC. You may not use them without our written permission.
You’re welcome to share our free public content, like blog posts, with proper attribution. Paid course content may not be shared (see Section 5). Please don’t reproduce or repurpose any of our materials commercially without asking first.
8. User-Generated Content
When you save reading moments or other content in the app, that content belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over your personal reading moments or notes.
If you choose to share moments publicly within the app, you grant Reading To Connect™ a limited license to display that content within the app for the benefit of the community.
9. Affiliate Links
Some links on our website and in the app are affiliate links. We may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through one of these links. This never affects our recommendations. We only link to books and resources we stand behind.
10. Third-Party Services
Our services integrate with third-party platforms including WordPress, Tutor LMS, Bubble.io, Stripe, Bunny.net, Bento, MailerLite, Hiro, and others. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are provided “as is.” We do our best to keep everything running smoothly, but we make no guarantees that our website or app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. Use our services at your own risk.
Results from using The ENGAGE Method® will vary. We believe deeply in what we teach, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes for any individual family.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reading To Connect™ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date above and notify you by email or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
